On our way to Scotland, we stopped in Yorkshire. We visited Thirsk, where Alf Wight had his veterinary surgery, which he used as the basis for his books published under the name James Herriott. We had reservations for a camping place that did not work out, and we stopped at the last minute at a hotel called the Fox & Hound. Inside, they had artwork based on the TV series "All Creatures Great and Small."
